2004 Update ...
We do not have a skatepark in Skopje anymore. The treding center took it's place. We are back to the street again!

We began to roll in the early summer of `89,and it looked fun back then. After a few sessions we began to take it more seriously. After a few years ,with all the bullshit going on the Balkan we were still rollin'. Keeping the skateboarding alive became very essential for the very few skaters left in Macedonia.Finally in 1996 things began to grow bigger. We had our first Skatepark in 1997 & with that,things started to roll on our side for change....The number of skaters grew by the minute & things really took off. After a while the owner closed it down and now its a football field. We took a step towards the streets again (the natural place to be). In 1999 an old idea arose of building another skatepark (but this time we were seriously in it). We received help from the government and now we are skating in our 4200 square meters of private paradiseeeee...... The skateshop 091 was oppened in 2000 and the lack of skate gear disappeared. Our little country has many fun spots to skate on (check them in Local Skate Spots). So if you are anywhere near Macedonia don't hesitate to come...in spite of the bulshit on the TV its a friendly place after all.
